New financial year, new rebates: All the changes GPs need to know

The start of the new financial year sees the introduction of new rules where GP practices, as well as doctors, can be forced to repay misclaimed MBS rebates.
Indexation is also being applied to care plans for the first time since the freeze was introduced — resulting in an extra $2.30 on item 721, still below the rate of CPI.
And there are changes to a number of workforce programs.
