New RACP board registered with regulators without Professor Jennifer Martin
The president-elect of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians says she is chairing a new college board that has been recognised by regulators without the current president, Professor Jennifer Martin.
Two days after the college’s explosive EGM vote to oust president Professor Martin, the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC) and the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) have listed a new board without her.
President-elect Dr Sharmila Chandran says she is chair of this board and that the new directors took part in a board meeting on Thursday.
The directors listed include the previous board members minus Professor Martin — so Dr Nicholas Buckmaster, Associate Professor Janak de Zoysa and Dr Chandran herself.
