‘No-one is impacted the same’: Meet some of the winners of the bulk-billing boost
Clinics across the country have started bulk-billing over the weekend, while those who already were say they now have more stability.
Much of the focus on the injection of bulk-billing incentives has been on the question of how many clinics will convert — will it be enough to reach Mark Butler’s promise of 90% bulk-billed attendances by 2030?
Across the country, clinics did indeed switch to bulk-billing on 1 November — 900 according to Health Minister Mr Butler.
There are also the many clinics that already bulk-bill who say the new incentive brings stability to what has been a difficult business model.
