NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian says she will continue to advocate for GPs when it comes to supply of the COVID-19 vaccine, but admits it hasn’t been smooth sailing for them.

The premier on Monday also called for targets for the number of people getting vaccinated to be increased.

“The process hasn’t been smooth sailing for (GPs), it has been quite frustrating, but we know the doses are available, we know our GPs are keen to make sure they get those jabs in arms,” Ms Berejiklian told reporters.

“Until at least the end of September we have enough doses to meet demand … (but) there are some issues in terms of GPs getting all the access to the doses they want.”
