Professor Steve Robson.

Proposals to let registered nurses prescribe under supervision could put GPs at risk of lawsuits and higher indemnity premiums, the AMA is warning.

The Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia has been looking at possibilities for nurse prescribing for almost a decade and is finally readying a proposal for state and territory health ministers to assess.
