Oncologist slams Vic’s COVID-19 contact tracing

A Melbourne doctor is calling for Victoria’s COVID-19 contact tracing system to be reassessed after his family was told to go on as normal despite being in close contact with a family with an infected member.
Oncologist Dr Prasad Cooray was quick to contact the state’s Department of Health and Human Services to discuss possible transmission to his family after learning the father of the family had tested positive for coronavirus.
The two families were in close contact through their children, with the two mothers taking turns car-pooling the kids to school, a minimum 45-minute journey each way.
Adding to his concern, Dr Cooray was hosting a dinner party at home with two other families when he heard the father had tested positive.
