Only 1 in 3 plan flu vax despite severe season warning

Only one-third of under 65s plan to undergo flu vaccination this season, citing vaccine fatigue and fears another injection may damage their immune system, a survey shows.
The research of 25,000 Australian adults found that despite 73% of adults expecting it to be a severe season, just 35% of 18-64-year-olds planned to be vaccinated.
The Immunisation Coalition’s poll found the most common reason for the reluctance was that people felt they had already had too many vaccines — namely two COVID-19 vaccine doses plus boosters.
They worried adding in the flu vaccine could negatively impact their immune system.
