Australia’s death toll has risen to 189 after 13 more people died in Victoria, with the state setting grim new records as the outbreak shows no sign of slowing.

Face masks will be mandatory across the state from Sunday and people across six coastal and regional council areas will be banned from visiting each other at home as the national toll rises to 189.
