A 60-year-old German allegedly had himself vaccinated against COVID-19 ninety times so he could sell forged vaccination cards with real vaccine batch numbers to antivaxxers.

The patient received the shots at vaccination centres in Saxony over a period of months before police caught up with him, the news agency dpa has reported.

The suspect, whose name was not released because of privacy rules, was not detained but is under investigation for document forgery.

It was not immediately clear what, if any impact, the multiple vaccine doses have had on the patient.
