Patient killed by police at GP practice identified
A GP and practice staff have escaped after a patient drew a gun at the clinic, leading to a standoff with police, who shot and killed the patient.
The unidentified GP and their three colleagues at the Junction Family Practice in Nowra, NSW — co-owned by prominent GP Dr Costa Boyages — were left traumatised but physically unharmed.
“It is obviously something that is going to impact them,” NSW Police Assistant Commissioner Peter Cotter said in the aftermath.
“They are in the hands of investigators at the moment.”
