A patient who claimed a GP had mismanaged her neurological symptoms, leading to a delayed MS diagnosis and worse prognosis, has lost her negligence case.
Wendy Reid, 54, launched the legal action in 2016 after being diagnosed with MS the previous year following rapid neurological deterioration over a few days.
An MRI at Royal Hobart Hospital had revealed demyelination in her upper cervical cord and brain, the Tasmanian Supreme Court heard last month.
Ms Reid now has a progressive form of MS and uses a wheelchair.
