‘Patients are being excluded, I can’t sleep,’ says GP at unaccredited practice
Sydney-based Dr Mark Fitzmaurice has written to Federal Minister for Health to complain that unaccredited clinics are not part of the coronavirus vaccination scheme.
Millions of patients could be left without easy access to the COVID-19 vaccine because unaccredited practices are banned from the program’s rollout, a Sydney GP has warned.
Dr Mark Fitzmaurice says he was shocked to discover that practices must be accredited to participate in the scheme when he read the Federal Department of Health’s invitation to submit an expression of interest.
