Pete Evans crowned king of ‘pseudoscientific piffle’

Pete Evans has done it again, winning this year’s Australian Skeptics’ Bent Spoon for “pseudoscientific piffle’’ while making history as the only two-time winner.
The erstwhile celebrity chef and “anti-vaccinationist, anti-fluoride, crank diet promoter” landed the silverware thanks to his $21,000 BioCharger which produces ‘frequencies and harmonics’ to treat COVID-19, among other ailments.
In announcing the winner on Sunday, the Australian Skeptics said Mr Evans was the hands-down winner.
“His promotion of the pseudoscientific non-medical BioCharger for treating COVID-19 would have been enough in its own right,” said Tim Mendham, executive officer for Australian Skeptics.
