Pfizer vaccine could be delivered to GP practices by next March

Pfizer’s coronavirus vaccine could be delivered to GP practices as soon as March in “specially designed eskies”, government officials say.
The company announced this week the preliminary results from stage 3 trials of its mRNA-based vaccine — known as BNT162b2 — which it said shows a 90% efficacy in preventing infections.
The trials are ongoing and the findings, based on just 94 patients, are yet to be peer reviewed or submitted to medical regulators.
But Minister for Health Greg Hunt has confirmed that 10 million doses of vaccine will be shipped in from Germany to be distributed to general practices, respiratory clinics and hospitals from March, subject to the drug’s approval by the TGA.
