Pharmacist sacked after accessing 7000 patient records

A Victorian hospital has apologised after a pharmacist viewed thousands of medical records.

A pharmacist has been dismissed and referred to AHPRA over accessing more than 7000 patient records without authorisation at a leading Melbourne trauma centre.

Alfred Health on Thursday confirmed an investigation was launched into the worker’s behaviour in June.
