Pharmacists post patient scripts to Facebook in 60-day dispensing attack

The Community and Pharmacy Support Group says it is posting the scripts on social media to show the policy does not free up GP visits.

A group of pharmacists says a “dossier” of 10,000 patient scripts proves that 60-day dispensing is a “rort” and failing to free up GP appointments.

The Community and Pharmacy Support Group (CAPS), which led protests at Parliament House last month, has now turned to publishing scripts on its Facebook page with patient and GP names blacked out.

One of the scripts is for a 60-day supply of rosuvastatin 10mg, irbesartan 150mg and fenofibrate 48mg with no repeats, with a yellow “rort alert” sign edited onto the image and the Facebook tags “#naughtydoctor” and “#swipeyswipey”.

One comment on the post says: “Take 60 days of tablets, and save $7.30 on each, and I’ll see you in 60 days for your next $90 drs visit … Dumb arse policy with dumb arse loopholes.”
