The Pharmacy Guild of Australia made a record-breaking $600,000 in political donations last financial year, new Australian Electoral Commission data show.

While total donations do rise in election years, the guild managed to break its own spending record in 2024/25, with the Labor Party receiving more than half its largesse and the National Party receiving more than the Liberal Party.

Telehealth company Eucalyptus, vitamins baron Marcus Blackmore and cigarette maker Philip Morris also made appearances.

It is important to stress that donations are not necessarily unqualified cash payments.
