Politician claims GPs are charging $70 for mandatory ‘pre-vaccine consults’
The Federal Health Department says the perception that there are charges for COVID-19 vaccinations needs to be avoided at all costs
The Federal Department of Health is investigating claims that patients have been left $70 out-of-pocket by GPs demanding and charging for prevaccination consultations.
The allegation was raised in Federal Parliament by SA MP Rebekha Sharkie, who said “several pensioners” had been asked to pay the fees by a practice outside Adelaide.
