Practice nurse’s last request to GP couple: ‘Please, look after my daughters’
GP Dr Luis Prado and his wife now care for the two daughters of alleged domestic violence victim Carra Luke.
A week before she died, practice nurse Carra Luke made a chilling request of her long-time friends, Dr Luis Prado and his wife, Dr Margaret Cotter.
Ms Luke had been a practice nurse at the GP couple’s Brisbane clinic for 20 years and spent time with them most weekends.
“It was a Friday night, and Carra asked my wife and I, should anything ever happen to her, could we look after the children,” Dr Prado tells AusDoc.
“Of course, we said yes. We had known Stella and Zoe since they were young.”
