Professor Paul Glasziou defends GP nudge letter experiment

After years of receiving so-called nudge letters from the Department of Health, last week GPs finally found out they were unknowing participants in a randomised controlled trial, with ethics approval, to find the most effective type of nudge.
It wasn’t just any randomised controlled trial. Apparently, it was significant enough to warrant publication in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA).
One of the study authors was well-known GP and evidence-based medicine researcher Professor Paul Glasziou. Here, he defends the trial from its critics.
