Prominent doctor dies of COVID-19

Doctors have paid tribute to prominent ophthalmologist Dr Con Moshegov, 59, who has died after a “battle with COVID-19” in a Sydney hospital.
The father-of-two is believed to be the first doctor in Australia to die from the coronavirus, and has been remembered as a leading light in ophthalmology.
“We are very sad to hear of the loss of [Dr] Con Moshegov after a battle with COVID-19,” said the Australasian Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (AUSCRS) in a statement on its website on last week.
“Con was one of our regular AUSCRS family members and is remembered as one of the most genial and vibrant individuals one could hope to meet.
