PSR appeals GP’s court win over demand for 25 years of patient records

The Professional Services Review will rely on the court's finding that it can legally demand records outside the review period if they are relevant.

The Professional Services Review says it is appealing a court ruling that blocked its demand for a GP to provide up to 25 years’ worth of patient records.

Dr Matthew Yoong won a legal battle with the Professional Services Review (PSR) last month after it threatened to disqualify him from Medicare for not providing complete records for patients who he had treated for 5-25 years for a review.
