PSR investigates after-hours corporate giant

However, National Home Doctor Service is attempting to stop the investigation via the Federal Court

The Medicare watchdog has launched an investigation into Australia’s largest after-hours GP corporate over whether it knowingly allowed doctors to engage in inappropriate billing. 


Australian Doctor has confirmed the Professional Services Review opened a probe into the National Home Doctor Service in June last year following a referral from Medicare’s integrity unit.

Details of the investigation remain unclear, but sources have confirmed it followed meetings between PSR director Professor Julie Quinlivan and 15 doctors
