RACGP boycotts role in pharmacist prescribing standards group

The RACGP says it has knocked back an offer from the Australian Pharmacy Council to contribute to standards for pharmacy prescribing.
The pharmacy council — equivalent to the Australian Medical Council — announced in October it would roll out training standards for pharmacist prescribing in conjunction with the Pharmacy Board of Australia.
RACGP vice-president Dr Bruce Willett said the college was invited to participate.
However, its representatives would have had to sign confidentiality agreements, which they refused to do.
