RACGP conference to go ahead – but with a difference

The RACGP has announced its annual national conference will be going ahead this year despite COVID-19, albeit in a new format to comply with travel restrictions.
The GP20 conference had been scheduled to be held at the Perth Convention Centre in October.
But with the usual three-day national gathering of GPs off the table due to social distancing measures, the college says it is developing a new “hybrid conference format” that will allow members to participate even if they aren’t able to leave their home state.
The college is yet to name a date for the new conference, but it says the idea is to hold simultaneous events in each capital city and three regional centres around the country, which members can either attend in-person or over video link.
