Former RACGP presidential candidate launches AI software to reduce ‘cognitive burden’ on GPs
Former RACGP presidential candidate Dr Chris Irwin is launching a commercial artificial intelligence (AI) tool for GPs at a price of $9 per day.
Dr Irwin and fellow GP Dr Umair Masood have together launched ConsultNote.AI, a program that works by “intelligently listening” to GP consultations.
Dr Irwin says it can perform a range of tasks, such as providing medication information and suggesting differential diagnoses or possible red flags.
He says its most useful function will be writing up GPs’ notes for them based on the audio of the consultation.
