The RACGP is offering another 25 bonus CPD points to recognise GPs’ work during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The college previously granted bonus CPD points  equivalent to 12.5 hours of non-accredited educational activities  in June 2020 and November 2021 to account for the on-the-job learning the pandemic had demanded from GPs.

Dr Lara Roeske, chair of the RACGP Post-Vocational Education Committee, said GPs continued to absorb an “enormous amount of information” around COVID-19.

“We are having to educate ourselves around repeated infections, managing patients with ‘long COVID’ and understanding these cases of new variants as they emerge,’ Dr Roeske said.
