RACGP president Dr Harry Nespolon has died in Sydney after a nine-month battle with pancreatic cancer.

Aged 57, he leaves behind his partner Lindy and two young daughters, Ella and Hannah.

Dr Nespolon, who was still working as college president last week, will be remembered as an “indefatigible advocate for GPs and patients, who led the specialty through a period of change” said the college’s chair Christine Nixon.

“The RACGP board is in awe of everything Harry has been able to achieve, particularly over the last seven months.
