RACGP president Dr Nicole Higgins has revealed she was subject to an AHPRA complaint over her comments on 60-day dispensing, which felt like “a cut at my integrity”.
Even though the complaint was dismissed almost immediately, the experience was nerve-wracking, Dr Higgins recalls.
She says she received an email from AHPRA a couple of months ago but with no details about the person who lodged the complaint.
“I took an hour to feel brave enough to open it, because I didn’t know what was in there,” she told GPs at the WONCA World Conference 2023 in Sydney on Friday.
