The RACGP has quadrupled its fellowship fees for doctors with overseas specialist GP qualifications after losing Federal Government funding. 

The fee increase, from $2000 to $8000, affects doctors with “substantially comparable” qualifications from the UK, Ireland, Canada and New Zealand, as well as those considered “partially comparable” from countries like the US and Spain.
