RACGP replaces convocation with ‘informal get-togethers’

The RACGP has scrapped its annual convocation – the official forum where members raise suggestions and complaints about the college and its leadership.
Held after the college’s AGM, convocation has historically been used by members to submit motions for debate.
And a vote in favour of any motion has meant the board is required to report back on its response the following year.
But the meeting is being replaced by what the college describes as “informal get-togethers”, where GPs will get the chance to speak to board directors one-to-one.
