RACGP reveals its blueprint for the future of GP training

The RACGP has finally released its plan for GP training which would spell the end of regional training organisations.
Its 20-page position paper has already been seen by the Federal Government and is now before the college membership for debate.
Regional training organisations (RTOs) have delivered the Australian General Practice Training program since training was stripped from the college by the government some 20 years ago.
In their place the college says it wants to create 70 local teams made up of training advisors and several medical educators.
