The RACGP is breaking away from all other medical colleges in terms of income, with $135 million in revenue last financial year.

The college’s finances have been in the spotlight after it cut 15% of jobs outside of GP training earlier this year despite posting a total profit of $2.4 million.

It said at the time that reclaiming control of GP training had skewed the college’s financial figures and that its operating activities carried a loss of around $700,000.

The RACGP’s most recent financial report covered its takeover of the $27 million training body GP Synergy as part of the training handover, demonstrating the complex business beast the college has become.
