RACGP says 99.9% of members have stayed loyal despite alternative CPD homes

The college is reporting rebounding finances and loyal membership.

Just 0.1% of RACGP members have left the college’s CPD home despite the growing number of alternatives, its annual report says.

Since the end of 2024, doctors have had to choose a CPD home to report to AHPRA that the doctor has completed the annual CPD requirements, but these no longer have to be medical colleges — allowing half a dozen independent CPD homes to emerge as new competition.

However, the RACGP appears to have stared down this competition, based on the contents of this week’s annual report.

The college recorded $42.6 million in membership fee revenue in 2024/25, contributing to an $8.3 million surplus.
