Physicians will get to vote on removing college president, Professor Jennifer Martin
The president of the RACP is now officially facing an EGM where members can vote to end her term in office early.
The announcement of the meeting to remove the president, Professor Jennifer Martin, came on Wednesday morning.
It was triggered by a request signed by more than 100 members, which, under the college constitution, legally forces the college to hold the vote.
If a majority of more than 50% votes against her, then Professor Martin will be forced out just one month before she is officially set to stand down after her two-year term.
