Australia’s political leaders are discussing today whether to offer cash subsidies for rapid antigen COVID-19 tests for concession card holders.

Most doctors will come face-to-face with positive patients, she said.

“And this is the challenge, particularly for doctors who’ve got immune conditions themselves or who may have … a high-risk family member.”

 Her comments follow the declaration by prime minister Scott Morrison that it was not the role of government to fund rapid antigen tests for all.
