A college has apologised to registrars who failed an exam after mistakenly sending a follow-up email ‘confirming their pass’.

Registrars who already had formal confirmation they had failed an emergency medicine exam in February were emailed this week saying they had actually passed.

The Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM) says the mistake, detected within minutes, affected candidates who sat the college’s Primary Written Examination on 7 February.
