A new 20-page report by the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) takes aim at medical schools and open-access journals, as well as promising to produce studies on water fluoridation and “educate Americans on the appropriate levels of fluoride”.

The report has 128 directives, ranging from a sentence to a paragraph.

One of them takes aim at the Liaison Committee on Medical Education and the American Osteopathic Association’s Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation — the two organisations that accredit US medical schools.
