RFK Jr pushes claim linking autism to circumcision

Robert F Kennedy Jr also described any pregnant women who took paracetamol unless necessary as 'irresponsible'.

US Health Secretary Robert F Kennedy Jr has reasserted the unproven link between paracetamol and autism, while also promoting a theory that links the disorder with circumcision.

During a meeting with US President Donald Trump and the cabinet, Mr Kennedy reiterated the connection between paracetamol (Tylenol) and autism, even while noting there was no medical proof to substantiate the claim.

He also mistakenly described a pregnant woman’s anatomy and linked autism to circumcision.

“Anybody who takes the stuff during pregnancy, unless they have to, [is] irresponsible,” Mr Kennedy told Mr Trump and fellow cabinet members.Â
