Roe vs Wade: Doctors face ‘impossible choice’ between harming women or being struck off
It follows the Supreme Court's declaration that there is no right to abortion under the US constitution
Doctors in the US say they now face the prospect of harming women by obeying the law, following the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn the constitutional right to abortion established 50 years ago.
The legal ruling handed down on Saturday to throw out Roe v Wade followed an appeal by the only clinic providing abortions in in Mississippi against a 2018 state law banning abortions after 15 weeks gestation.
