South Australia’s hard lockdown will be abruptly lifted on Saturday after it was revealed a patient diagnosed with COVID-19 lied about his contact at the Woodville Pizza Bar, a key site in the so-called Parafield cluster.

The state went into a lockdown at midnight on Tuesday, with schools, cafes and factories closed and bans on funerals and outdoor exercise.
