Safe to give COVID-19 and flu vax together: study

A UK clinical trial has found it’s safe for patients to to have the coronavirus and flu vaccines at the same time, finding side effects were mainly mild to moderate.
There were also no negative impacts on the immune response produced by either vaccine when both were given on the same day in opposite arms, according to the Combining Influenza and COVID-19 Vaccination (ComFluCov) study.
Researchers say the results reinforce current UK coronavirus booster vaccine guidance, which is for both vaccines to be given together where it is practically possible.
In Australia, ATAGI’s advice, issued in March, recommends against giving both injections on the same day.
