Federal MP Dr Mike Freelander has described how a social media video of two nurses saying they would kill Israeli patients “shook me to my very core”. 

The Jewish paediatrician struggled to contain his emotions, revealing the pair worked in the same local health district as he had for the last forty years. 

“The alleged role of these health professionals is just disgusting to me, where they have abrogated their sacred responsibility as health workers,” Dr Freelander told Parliament.

The NSW Health nurses from Sydney’s Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital had said in a social media chat they had refused to treat and had killed Israeli patients.
