Queensland breast surgeon Dr Geoff Muduioa has been known to break out into song to calm patients before surgery, and to lift the spirits of staff at the end of theatre.

But a recent impromptu performance for the staff of QEII Jubilee Hospital in Brisbane has been widely shared on social media, spreading a bit of joy, along with a hand washing message during the COVID-19 crisis.

His renditions of Creedence Clearwater Revival’s Have You Ever Seen The Rain? and John Mayer’s Waiting on the World to Change have been seen by thousands of people around the country.

“We were doing a public clinic and at the end, one of the senior nursing staff said, ‘Oh, Geoff, we haven’t done any singing in a while’,” he told Fairfax News.
