Sisters of murdered GP were on their way to see his new clinic when they were told he was dead
Dr Ashley Gordon's family have told a court of their devastation on learning their son and brother had been stabbed by a teen.
Dr Ashley Gordon’s family were meant to meet him to view his new GP clinic but instead ended up saying goodbye to him in a morgue.
In January last year, his sisters, niece and other members of his family had set off from regional Victoria to Melbourne having no idea he had been stabbed in a knife attack that had pierced his heart.
It later emerged that a teenager and a friend had broken into Dr Gordon’s home as he slept and stole several items.
Having fled, the teen and three others returned, but this time, Dr Gordon was awake and chased them out onto the street.
