Specialist fee website charging doctors $250 a month outpaces govt’s $24 million alternative

Matthew Gregory says his site, Zable, is more user-friendly for doctors and patients than the Medical Costs Finder.

Hundreds of doctors have been listed on a specialist fee website that launched last week, in contrast with the 20 doctors listed on the Federal Government’s Medical Costs Finder site.

Matthew Gregory, a former real estate agent, worked with a physiotherapist to launch Zable Health, which lists specialists’ locations, waitlist lengths and fees.

Non-GP specialists can list their fees for free.

However, they can also pay to appear higher in patients’ search results, with the most expensive Zable subscription costing $250 a month, plus $10 for each patient whose referral is processed through the site.
