AMA facing backlash over its constitutional revamp
The proposed amendments will be voted on at the AMA's AGM on Wednesday.

A vote on AMA Tasmania’s future is two days away.
It wants to become a branch of the federal AMA to stay sustainable.
The complication is that two other state AMAs are against proposed changes to the federal constitution that are essentially prerequisites for the merger.
The main concern is that changes to clause 9.2 will allow the AMA to establish state or territory branches “if required”.
