State Government to spend $50 million on nurse-led primary care clinics for women and girls

Practices will be staffed by specialist child and maternal health nurses, says the Queensland Minister for Health.

The Queensland Government says it will spend $46 million setting up free nurse-led walk-in clinics for women and girls.

Intended to reduce the financial and transport barriers female patients face accessing healthcare, Queensland Premier Steven Miles says the four clinics will “complement, not replace” GP care.
