Move over yummy mummies. Plumped, sculpted and smooth dads are stepping into the limelight, with a surge in the number of men undergoing daddy-do-overs, often as a Father’s Day gift, according to a US report.

Eager to ditch their dad bods, men are following the lead of women undergoing mummy makeovers, seeking out tummy tucks, bum lifts, lip augmentation and even cellulite treatment, a new report by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons shows.

Nearly 1.1 million cosmetic and around 214,00 surgical procedures were performed on men in 2018, a 29% increase from 2000.

Rhinoplasty was the most common surgical procedure (more than 52,000), followed by eyelid surgery (up 15% in one year to more than 31,400) and liposuction (up 5% on 2017 to more than 29,500).
