Have pharmacists refused to fill your 60-day scripts? We want to hear from you
Through AusDoc’s coverage of 60-day prescribing, GPs have been raising concerns in the comments section about pharmacists not fulfilling double-length scripts, which halve dispensing fees for pharmacies.
“I am seeing countless patients where their 60-day scripts are getting amended to 30-day scripts — usually, without their consent or knowledge and without my permission to amend them,” one GP wrote recently.
Another said patients had returned to the GP practice asking for a 30-day script on a pharmacist’s request.
AusDoc wants to know how widespread this issue appears to be and what GPs’ specific experiences have been.
